This is the last will and testament of me, William Chute Gwinnett of Wistaston Court, in the county of Hereford, esquire.
I will and devise that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be in the first place fully paid and satisfied out of my personal estate and if that should prove insufficient then I charge my real estate with the payment thereof.
And as to all and singular my freehold, leasehold, copyhold and customary manors, messuages, lands, heraditaments and premises whatsoever and wheresoever the same or any part thereof are situate and over which I have the power of disposition with their and every of their rights, members and appurtenances.
And as to the rest, residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects, I give, devise and bequeath the same unto and to the use of my dear wife, Charlotte Gwinnett, her heirs, executors, administrators, assigns for ever, the same to be accepted by her in full satisfaction of the settlement made upon and previous to our marriage.
I nominate, constitute and appoint my dear wife sole executrix of this my will hereby revoking all former and other wills of a testamentary nature at any time heretofore made by me and do declare this only to be and contain my last will and testament.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by William Chute Gwinnett as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto: Ann Jones, Nags Head Inn, Hereford; John Adams, Naihouse, Marden; Thomas Adams, Naihouse, Marden; In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, in the Goods of William Chute Gwinnett, deceased.
Appeared personally John Adams of the parish of Marden in the county of Hereford, farmer, and made oath that he is one of the subscribed witnesses to the last will and testament of William Chute Gwinnett, late of the parish of Marden in the county of Hereford, Esquire, deceased, bearing date the third day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty eight now hereunto annexed.
And he further made oath that on the third day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty eight aforesaid the said testator only executed his said will by signing his names at the foot or end thereof in manner as now appears thereon in the presence of this appearer and of Ann Jones and Thomas Adams the other subscribers witnesses thereto all being then present at the same time and all of whom also at the same time attested and subscribed the said will in the presence of the said testator and of each other.

On the 22nd day of April 1854 the said John Adams was duly sworn to the truth hereof (by virtue of the Annexed Commission) before me: John Venn, Commissioner.
Proved at London 29th April 1854 before the Judge by the oath of Charlotte Gwinnett, widow, the relict, the sole executrix to whom administration was granted having been first sworn by commission duly to administer.
