In the name of God, Amen.
I, Richard Gwynnett of Ludlow in the county of Salop, carpenter, being sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God, doe make and ordayne this my last will and testament in manner and forme following:
I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God. And as for such goods and personal estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I give and bequeath the same as follows:
First, I give and bequeath unto my sister Ellinor Undearhill, widow, the sum of forty shillings.
Item, I give and bequeath to my sister-in-law the widow (Beackwith?) the sum of thirty shillings.
Item, I give and bequeath to Hannah Powis and Alice Powis, the daughters of Thomas Powis the sum of twenty shillings a piece.
I give Jone, the wife of William Woodall, the elder, the sum of twenty shillings.
Item, I give to my good old friend, William Woodall, the elder, all my working tools.
Item, I give to Mrs Martha Powis, the wife of the said Mr Thomas Powis, the sum of twenty shillings.
Item, I give and bequeath to Jane and Mary Cam twenty shillings a piece and to Katherin York servant to Richard Cam, five shillings.
Item, I give and bequeath to my sister-in-law Jane Mantle, the wife of John Mantle, one gown such being a Petticoat and waistcoat.
Item, I give and bequeath to my loving friend Richard Cam of Ludlow, gent, one table board, one bedstead, which are noremaining in the further room of my now dwelling house.
Item, I give and bequeath to Bridgett (Beckwith?), my wife’s best suit of apparel.
All the rest of my goods, household stuff, ready money, and personal estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to my sister Ellinor Undearhill whom I make and ordayne my sole executrix of this my last will and testament. And I do also give to Margaret Lewis the sum of five shillings.
And I do appoint Mr Thomas Powis and Mr Richard Cam overseers of this my last will. In witness whereof I have hereto put my hand and seal this 22nd day of September 1680.
